Blue Sky Alpacas Alpaca Silk yarn is heaven to knit. The silk adds a little weight, gorgeous sheen and beautiful drape to the soft, warm alpaca fibers, producing the perfect slouchy hat. Holding two different colored strands of this amazing sport weight yarn is fast and fun to work. I’m lucky enough to have a friend who gifted me some of her drop-spindle handspun and I added it as an accent color at the bottom. When the hat is finished, you have the perfect amount of left-over yarn to make a big, fluffy pompom for the top!
