Sanibel Island is a tiny island off the west coast of southern Florida. The colors there are soft and soothing. The coastal waters of the Gulf of Mexico are calm and warm. As you move into the water you can see clearly to the bottom for five, six feet or more. When you look out to the horizon, you can barely distinguish blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico from the sky above.

The glazed Sanibel Island is inspired by the soft, silvery greys of the shells that cover the beaches.

The marbled version brings the beach, the water and the sky together for a panoramic interpretation of the colors of Sanibel Island, Florida.
