Indian paintbrush is the state wildflower of Wyoming. In Alta you can see the gorgeous flowers in small patches on the roadside and in large swaths in the mountain meadows of the Jedediah Smith Wilderness area, adjacent to Teton National Forest. This delicate lace shawl is a tribute to the wildflower’s fleeting beauty.

It is also the debut pattern of www.SweaterSisters.com – my new yarn venture with knit designer, Lynette Meek.
